The macro tracker that shows its work.
Describe what you ate in plain language. Victus resolves it to verified, USDA-sourced data — and shows you where every number came from before you log it. No guessing which of 30 duplicate entries is the real one.
Download on the App StoreFree to download — no account, no credit card for the free app. Victus Pro is a 7-day free trial, then $9.99/month; cancel anytime in your App Store subscriptions.
Log anything, your way
Type it, scan a barcode, or photograph a whole recipe — Victus reads the ingredients and builds the dish, per-serving macros included.
Every number, sourced
Other trackers hand you a number and ask for trust. No guessing which of 30 duplicate entries is the real one — Victus resolves your meal to verified USDA-sourced data and shows you the source before you log it, so you can check the work.
More than macros
Vitamins and minerals tracked against daily values, trends over weeks and months, and portions in real units — grams, ounces, or “one large egg.”

Why I built Victus
Nathan Smith
I got tired of trackers that hand you a calorie count and expect blind faith — especially when the database is full of near-duplicate entries and no way to tell which one is right. Victus is my answer: every number is resolved to a verified, USDA-backed source you can see before you log it.
I'm an independent developer, not a venture-backed team. I build Victus in the open, read every email, and ship updates based on what real users actually ask for.
Answers before you download
How do I know the numbers are accurate?
Victus resolves your meal to verified USDA FoodData Central data and other named sources, and shows you the source behind every number before you log it. You check the work instead of trusting a figure blindly — and you can edit any value.
What does it cost, and what happens after the free trial?
The core app is free forever. Victus Pro is a 7-day free trial, then $9.99/month. It renews at $9.99/month unless you cancel, and you can cancel anytime from your App Store subscriptions.
What happens to my data?
Your food log lives on your iPhone, not on our servers. No account to create, no ads, and we don't sell your data.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet — Victus is iPhone-only today, with deep Apple Health integration. If you'd like an Android version, email us so we can gauge demand.
What about a restaurant meal or a dish with no clear entry?
Describe it the way you'd tell a friend — “grilled chicken burrito bowl, extra rice.” Victus breaks it into items, estimates each from its sources, and shows you what it used so you can adjust portions before logging.
How does Victus compare to other trackers?
